Collaborative banners painted by second grade students are up already! Mrs. Penrose dislikes empty halls! Check out Mrs. Murphy's class carefully adding the finishing touches.

FYI:
This year, in place of the basic hearing and vision screening Nurse Marlee does, Clarity has agreed to let the district do screenings on their new vision machine. During the vision screening, the child sits down and looks into the front of the device where blinking lights are shown. Next, a bird chirps to capture the attention of young children. In a matter of seconds, the machine is able to analyze the student’s vision. After the student’s vision is analyzed, the machine can determine if their vision is “in range” or “out of range.”
A consent form for the screening will be sent home this week. Screenings will take place the week of September 11th so please have the form signed and returned no later than Friday, September 8th.

Students were giving papers with black ink spills, drips, holes, or bent edges in Art. Then we transformed an accident and oops into something beautiful! Mistakes and messes sometimes happen in Art but we can still work on and make it beautiful or better because of it!

Empty Halls are the worst! We are making some GIANT banners to be hung till artwork is complete!

Mark your calendars for School Picture Day!
